HOW THESE FOODS CAN CAUSE A GOUT ATTACK
Most gout attacks are caused by eating a diet high in purines. When purines turn into uric acid they can cause damage and swelling to joints leading to great pain. Avoiding foods high in purines can help you prevent an acute attack.
If you have a problem with gout, one of the foods you should avoid is bacon. Not only does it have high purine levels, it also has a lot of nitrates. The high sodium content also can cause dehydration which is something you should avoid if you suffer from this disease.
It doesn’t matter what type of hot dogs you choose to eat, they all can contribute to gout. Turkey, chicken, and beef all have decent amounts of purines. Not to mention that hot dogs usually come from the organs and the organs are where the highest amounts of purines exist.
Venison and other game meats such as pheasant and grouse can be devastating to gout patients. They have very high levels of purines. Venison has higher levels of purines than beef.

Purchase a good fish oil on the market to avoid eating the fish. You get the benefits without the pain.
Alcohol when ingested in excessive amounts is infamous for causing an acute gout attack. If you are susceptible to this problem you should avoid drinking alcohol or at the most keep it to small amounts. Beer, for instance, has a lot more purines than alcohol.
Legumes can cause you grief. You should consider eating legumes in small to moderate amounts if you enjoy eating them. Each person can tolerate different amounts and some people can tolerate legumes without any complications.
